| Welcome to the 2008 Smyrna
Star Basketball Season! This is the 12th season of the Smyrna Basketball Club,
Incorporated Program. It is open to boys and girls, ages 9-17 in Cobb
County and the Greater Atlanta Area. The Board of Directors, the City
of Smyrna, the parents, sponsors and other community businesses continue their
commitment to provide Smyrna's youth with a professionally operated and instructional
basketball program. This program will focus primarily on the development
aspects of the sport for PLAYERS, emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship.
This is the fourth year of our Smyrna Basketball Club Web site. On this site, we hope to keep you updated with Stars events and schedules. We are always looking for dedicated volunteers to help keep this program one of the best in Georgia and the nation! The Stars management is a 100% volunteer force, from the board members, to the team mothers, to the coaches. The many hours of dedication, preparation and planning are essential to a high quality basketball program. Our board would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to those of you who volunteer your time and efforts to make Stars basketball the finest program in Georgia. We would like to also extend a warm welcome to those of you who are new to Smyrna, as well as our longtime participants. We value your continued support. This truly would not be possible without you. We look forward to seeing you in the venues, and to all the athletes: good luck and have a terrific season! |
